VISITORS will be made welcome to the final 2005 meeting of the Historical Society at 8pm on Friday, 2 December, in the old shire offices on the corner of Princes Highway and Main Street, Pakenham.
Guest speaker will be Mrs Barbara Cook, who will talk about the Pakenham Telephone Ex-change.
The museum will open on Sunday, 4 December, between 2pm and 4.30pm and will then close until February 2006.
The first meeting of the Society for 2006 will be on 3 February.
There are reprints of ‘In the Wake of the Pack Tracks’ and ‘Early Days of Berwick’ now featuring an index, with financial assistance from Berwick Rotary and Casey Council.
