TWELVE people from the Berwick area won almost $962,000 in the Tattslotto Superdraw last Saturday.
Murray Mortaruolo of Berwick Lottery and Fine Jewellery organised the syndicate that shared the $19 million first division prize with the 22 entries from six states.
Mr Mortaruolo said that on Saturday night he rang about half the syndicate members with the good news and the other half rang him about it.
“One chap I got on to was having dinner in the city, so instead of coming home, he booked in to the Casino for the night,” he said.
Each member of the System 20 syndicate will receive more than $80,000.
