Clark new mayor

BAW Baw Shire’s new mayor is Warragul East Ward councillor Ian Clark.
Cr Clark was elected unopposed at a special council meeting last Wednesday.
Cr Clark is one of two sitting councillors returned at the recent Baw Baw Shire elections.
He thanked his colleagues for their confidence in him and acknowledged the challenges ahead in his oneyear term.
Cr Clark will receive a mayoral allowance of $46,500, the maximum amount allowed under the Local Government Act.
The other six councillors will also receive the maximum allowance of $15,000.
