Don’t aid plate thieves

RESIDENTS have been warned to park their cars in a secure place to deter number plate thieves. Police have reported a spate of number plate thefts in the area over recent times. Lang Lang has been highlighted as an area of concern.
Pakenham Senior Sergeant Steve Matthews said stolen plates were often used for ‘driveoffs’ from petrol stations.
“Where possible, people should not park their cars on the road, they should be parked in garages or in driveways.”
