CASEY council has included provision of flagpoles for council facilities in its minor capital works program.
Casey’s manager of arts and leisure, Robyn Bowen, said in a report to the council that the cost of flagpoles ranged from $1300 for one eight metres high, and $2530 for one about 12 metres high.
She advised the council that supply and installation of flagpoles at council facilities was a suitable project for funding under minor capital works.
“It is intended that the cost of various height flagpoles be included on a list of items and projects forwarded to committees of management with application forms,” she said.
