Pakenham indoor bowls

SEVENTEEN members attended the Tuesday afternoon games of indoor bowls, which comprised two games of 15 ends.
Again a team only comprising two players won both games and the day with 26 ends. This team comprised Ross Smith and Frank Brown (skip).
The runnersup were the team of David McGown, Don Shaw and Des Hollingworth (skip) who won both games and succeeded in winning 18 ends.
On Thursday afternoon 18 members took part in the two matches of 15 ends and, unusually, every team won one game. Thus there were six onegame winners.
The winners comprised Nancy Telford, Cliff Bankes and Beth Webster (skip), who won 10 ends.
Runnersup for the afternoon were the team of Ross Smith, Alma Holland and Greg Dore (skip), who won their game with nine ends.
On Friday night three mats were used to accommodate the 18 players in one game of 15 ends.
Not surprisingly three teams won one game each.
The team of Don Shaw, Beryl Isherwood and Irene Stanbridge (skip) won 11 ends and Sam Mazzarella, Ada Cuciniello and Ken Tomlin (skip) finished runnersup with 10 ends.
