PAKENHAM Police have appealed for witnesses to a hitrun incident in Beaconsfield on Saturday.
A 31yearold Beaconsfield man was struck as he was crossing the Princes Highway at 11pm on Saturday.
Senior Constable Peter Bast from Pakenham Traffic Management Unit said the man had been crossing the road from near the hotel bottle shop when he was struck by a dark blue or black fourwheel drive.
Sen Const Bast said the car failed to stop at the scene.
The man suffered facial injuries and was taken by ambulance to The Alfred hospital. He was later discharged.
Sen Const Bast said there were skid marks on the road.
Police were appealing to the driver to come forward or for witnesses to contact Pakenham police.
