Students selected to venture into politics

TEN Year 11 students have been selected for the City of Casey Australia Day Study Tour.
The award gives them the opportunity to observe Federal, State and local Governments in Australia.
The 2006 Australia Day Study Tour Award recipients are Marco Antonio Ruiz St Peters College, Glen Bain Kooweerup Secondary College, Michael Bassett Kambrya College, Zac Cox Narre Warren South P12 College, Amanda Fitzgerald St Peters College, Katrina Goodall Hillcrest Christian College, Candice PiangNee Maranatha Christian School, Kai Riegel Eumemmerring College, Endeavour Hills Campus, Joanne Riswick Lyndhurst Secondary College, Carly Williams Kambrya College.
The students will be taken to Canberra to spend time at Parliament House and will visit points of interest in Canberra,
They also will spend a day at Parliament House in Melbourne and a day with the City of Casey, including dinner with councillors.
Depending on their availability they may be able to meet and talk with Prime Minister John Howard and Premier Steve Bracks.
