A TEAM of Berwick students has taken out an award for organising a rock concert to raise funds for children with cancer.
Minister for Education and Training Lynne Kosky congratulated the Berwick Secondary College students for taking the initiative to coordinate the event as part of their Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) studies.
The students were Ben Cockman, Scott Haycroft, Brendan Jarman, Tim Jenkins, William Livesay, Shaun O’Lynn, Mark Sheafe and David Thomas.
They received the award for excellence in the student team category at a ceremony at Federation Square on Tuesday.
