Tigers battle Bomber bowlers

BEACONSFIELD’S Bgrade batsmen fought hard for a competitive 176 against Emerald at home in round eight on Saturday.
Due to rain at the Emerald ground, A Grade will play a oneday game this week.
Best with the bat was Peter Sofra with 50. Travis Turnbull contributed 28 and Troy McDermott 27, while Geoff Bliss remains on 22 notout.

C GRADE

Playing at home, The Tigers batted first against Catani and reached 268 from 56 overs.
Mick McMahon top scored with 64, while Ross Mitchell (37), Jamie Ingham (40) and Brendan Ewert (39) were all valuable contributors.
Matt O’Connor also chipped in with 19 to round out a good batting performance.

D GRADE

Also batting first, Beaconsfield made the very solid total of 236 against Cranbourne Meadows.
Paul Dorbolo (22) and Tom Carlyle (30) made a good opening stand.
Alex Benbow added 18, Rob Young 29 and John Scales 39 not out. Top score for the day went to Tristan Kerr with 57 notout.

E GRADE

Playing Devon Meadows away, Beaconsfield batted first.
Wayne Holden with 79 and Greg Tomamichel with 102 opened the batting and combined for an opening stand of 124.
Support came from Bevan Pitcher (10), David Green (15) and Alan Sauvarin (18 not out).
With a total of 245 to defend, Beaconsfield will look to secure its first Egrade win for the season this week.

UNDER 17 TIGERS

Beaconsfield played Clyde, won the toss and batted. Forty overs later the team had made its highest score for the season with 5/200 c.c.
Best bats were Billy Carlyle (50 not out), Gus Patti (69 not out), James Johnstone (18) and Raphael Adeloju (19 not out).

UNDER 17 BANDITS

Beaconsfield batted well against Pakenham and made 8/187 after 40 overs with Brad Hollick 60 not out and Peter Sofra 45 and Cheyne Petit 18.

UNDER 16 SAINTS

Beaconsfield played PUT Gold and bowled well to capture 7/103.
Wicket takers were Hayden Mitchell (4/7 off six overs), Jarryd Madden (2/18) and Jade Osborne (1/21).

UNDER 15 EAGLES

Beaconsfield played Emerald Red and bowled first to dismiss the opposition for 77 with the best bowlers Jordan Andrews (2/5 off five overs), Ben Martin (2/8 off six overs) and Josh Bruneau (1/7).
In reply to 77, the young Eagles are 0/27 with Josh Bruneau 13 not out and Alex Benbow 7 not out.

UNDER 15 TIGERS

Beaconsfield played KilcundaBass, lost the toss and was put in to bat.
Forty overs later the team had made 9/185 c.c. with Brent Andrews 53 not out, Arran Perera 31 not out and James Johnston 29 being the standout batsmen.

UNDER 13

The under13s all played oneday games on Friday due to the holiday next Friday.

UNDER 13 SAINTS

Beaconsfield played Nar Nar GoonMaryknoll and made 7/48 with Callam Tout (17 not out) and in reply the Nar Nar Goon made 3/113 with the wicket takers Callam Tout (1/14), Dylan Triffet (1/1) and Glen Oliver (1/11).

UNDER 13 TIGERS

Beaconsfield played Upper Beaconsfield Maroon and made 6/69 with Will Haines (15 not out) and Mitch Johnson (13).
In reply Upper Beaconsfield made 6/93 with the wicket takers Will Haines (1/13), Mitch Johnson (1/6), Hayden Dooley (1/7), Jordan Sheehan (1/14) and Brady Rayner (1/7).

UNDER 13 EAGLES

Beaconsfield and PUT staged a thrilling draw with both teams on 80 runs.
The Eagles made 6/80 with James Munro 15 not out, Dylan Guinane 15 not out and Elle Blackburn 12.
In reply PUT made 8/80 with the wicket takers James Munro (1/5), Cameron Dickins (1/10), Jack Sparks (2/8), Elle Blackburn (1/11) and Thomas Boatman (1/10).

UNDER 13 MINORS

Beaconsfield took on Gembrook and amassed a huge 4/117 c.c. with Nick Bruneau (20 not out), Sean McDermott (16 not out), Arvind Krisnamoorthy (16 not out), Luke McBride (15 not out), Sam Martin (10) and Hayden McLardy (16 not out).
In reply Gembrook was all out for 78 with Nathan Madden (2/6), Nick Bruneau (1/8), Dylan Blizzard (2/5), Sean McDermott (1/7), Arvind Krisnamoorthy (1/9) and Hayden McLardy (1/5).
