BERWICK’S Hugh Preston celebrated his 100th birthday with more than 70 family and friends last Friday.
Mr Preston turned 100 on Saturday, 23 July.
He has lived at Fiddlers Green Retirement Village, Berwick, for 20 years.
Mr Preston came from interstate to live in Berwick to be near his family.
Fiddlers Green coordinator Melanie Beavis said Mr Preston was a happy and lively man with lots of smiles.
“He has made lots of friends since moving to the village,” Ms Beavis said.
“He received congratulations from the Queen and Prime Minister.”
