VISITORS stole the limelight at Pakenham Golf Club’s tournament on Saturday with Peter Brown from Trafalgar winning the men’s day 27-hole open scratch event and June Woznica from Moe taking out the 27-hole open scratch event for the ladies.
The club hosted their annual event last week with the ladies playing four-ball-best-ball and stroke on Wednesday and Thursday and the men four-ball-best-ball on Friday and stroke on Saturday.
Sunday hosted the mixed Canadian event.

The best nine out went to Scott Phillips and David Horne 27 and the best nine in saw Ken McIntyre and Colin Crowle the winners with 24 points.

The competition for the men this coming Saturday is now Stableford – not the monthly medal.
The November monthly medal will be played in conjunction with the first round of the championships.

MONDAY RESULTS
The morning Stableford competition saw Leo Cester the winner with 42 points. Noel Bonne came in with 40 points to be the runner-up on a countback.

TWILIGHT COMPETITION
Even though the ladies had their four-ball-best-ball tournament day, the twilight competition was held from 3pm and many men who had missed out on a round of golf took advantage of the twilight round.
Winner was Peter Butcher with 23 points from Rob Wedlock with 22.
Tony Sheahan 21, Brian Webster 21, Mark Bell 21, Al Campbell 20, Colin Crowle 20, David Jack 20, Martin Spurway 19, Bryan Delaney 19, Peter Korteman 18, Keith Barrot 18 and Don Towan 18 were down-the-lines winners.
The social winner was David McDonald.
