FIVE teams represented Pakenham in the RVBA on Saturday in fine weather and after the final bowl had been delivered there were victors in only two games.
Pakenham (1) lost to Edithvale by two shots.

Pakenham (2) lost to Cranbourne RSL by seven shots.
On the free-running green at home Pakenham tried to redeem its loss early in the season against RSL.
It was a tight battle with scores tied with only a few ends to go, however, Cranbourne played pressure bowls better with Pakenham winning two rinks and unable to bridge the gap.

Pakenham (3) lost to Dandenong City by 16 shots.
Unable to handle the 13-second green proved to be a problem and the home team played better bowls.

Playing low-on-the-ladder Ashburton at home saw the five’s dominate the scoreboard, without any pressure applied.

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
Sunday saw the quarter-finals played in the club championship and after some tight games the semi-finals will consist of P. Gribbin v B. Tivendale and J. Barr v I. Wake.
CHRISTMAS PARTY
It was a successful Christmas party with 130 members and guests enjoying a roast meal, entertainment and cheer with a visit from Santa and a few surprises thrown in.

COMING EVENTS
Events for this coming week – Friday, 16 December, 10.30am VLBA second round of minor championship.
Friday night twilight bowls and roast dinner. Dinner to be served at 6pm. Carpet bowls still available for non-twilight bowlers. Names must be down on list for dinner by 2pm Friday.

Monday 19 December, VLBA section monthly meeting at 10am followed by Christmas Lunch at the Pakenham Inn at noon.
