SIXTHplaced Catani took on thirdplaced Lang Lang in an under17 elimination final on Saturday. The Blues started slowly but managed to be still in the game after a lowscoring first half. Their Lang Lang opponents lifted their running game in the second half and Catani was unable to find answers. The Blues did keep fighting to the end, but were beaten by a better side.

Catani scored a comfortable win against NeerimNeerim South in Sunday’s elimination final. The Blues started the game full of running and managed to get early points on the board. They maintained the pressure all game and restricted the scoring opportunities of their opponents while creating plenty for themselves. If not for inaccuracy in front of goal, Catani could have had a larger victory.

Catani fifths ran out comfortable winners in Sunday’s elimination final against NeerimNeerim South. Catani had most of the play from the first bounce, but had difficulty scoring. The Blues attacked the ball hard and tackled well, keeping opponents under constant pressure.
In the second and third quarters the Blues consolidated their efforts, but it was not until the final term before the young Blues were able to finish off the opposition and run away with an easy win.
