JUNIOR TEES UP FOR TEAM

Four junior members from Beaconhills Country Golf Club were invited to try out for the Peninsula District Golf Association Junior Country Team, Ben Ferrif, Ben Taylor, Dylan Taylor and Kristian Tribuiani.
Ben Ferrif returned some excellent results at the practice rounds at Sorrento and Beaconhills Country Golf Clubs and was invited to a practice round at Maffra Golf Club.
The team was then selected from those who played at Maffra and Ben Ferrif was selected. On the weekend of 13 and 14 August, the PDGA Junior Country Team played against three other districts in an aggregate teams event. The PDGA junior country team was the comprehensive winners and progressed to the next round that will see them compete in matchplay against other regional winners at Bendigo. The PDGA team will be reduced in size for the matchplay series; as yet the team has not been announced.
