LADIES

The Pennant matches of December 6 were marred by inclement weather that prevented normal results.
The four Berwick teams and their opponents gained one point each for incomplete matches in section seven and eight.

LILA COTTER FOURS

Christmas fantasia was the theme for the Lila Cotter Fours played on 4 December.
The clubrooms had a Christmas flavour with the luncheon tables resplendent with red cloths, lace and holly.
Christmas decorated stalls sold teddy bears and craft made by the winter craft group, cakes, lollies, Christmas wrapping and Netta’s trading table all did brisk business.
The ladies committee served a festive luncheon.
The bowling winners of the day, which was sponsored by Retire Invest Berwick, were the Berwick team of Vyvian Fisher (skip), Judith Faulkner, Mary Kilgariff and Aase Benzen.
Runner-up was Jean Thompson and her team from Pakenham.
First-game winner was the team from Cranbourne and the last game winning team came from Mulgrave.
This was the 31st year the Lila Cotter Fours has been played and two bowlers from Traralgon and Dandenong RSL/Rec. have been present on all occasions.
Jean Reddy won her first match in the champion of champions and will play in the next progress match at Narre Warren on 30 December. Time to be advised.
