This utility and heavy trailer came to grief when they overshot the intersection at the end of Ballarto Road, Kooweerup, during a wet morning earlier this month.THE intersection of Ballarto Road and the KooweerupPakenham Road appears to be causing a problem for some drivers.
I’ve had two near misses. One, when a driver came out on to the main road in thick fog before stopping.
Earlier this month I was amazed when a utility towing a heavy trailer simply proceeded off the end of Ballarto Road, across the main road and into what is left of the scrub. The chevron and direction signs were wrecked.
They had not long been repaired after suffering from a similar accident a few weeks before.
This week, I noticed the broken signs had been again rearranged by a further event.
I wonder if there is a reason for the incidents at Ballarto Road or are they just a coincidence.
My view is that it is worth casting a wary eye as you drive by.
