CATANI ended the homeandaway season in fine style, winning all five round18 games against Warragul Industrials ensuring all its teams would play in this week’s first round of finals.

The Blues needed to be at their best at Warragul, as a solid victory was needed to cement third spot on the ladder.
With this in mind, the Blues came out and dominated the play in the first half, scoring 14 goals to the Dusties three.
Josh Tymensen and Aaron Alger were getting plenty of the ball and Catani’s key forwards, Entwisle and Fitzpatrick both scored four goals each.
In the third term the Blues appeared to take it easy as their opponents took the opportunity to put on five goals straight to Catani’s four goals five points.
The final term saw the Blues back on song with six goals to nil.
The major interest was if John Entwisle could get his ton for the season, but he fell one short to finish on 99 after booting 11 for the game.
Best for Catani were John Entwisle, Josh Tymensen, Aaron and Paul Alger, Luke Tymensen and Shane Davidson.

Catani scored a 100point win against the Dusties to confirm its finals’ spot for season.
It was an excellent fourquarter performance by the Blues who never let their opponents into the game.
Paul Govaars starred up forward with seven goals and Matt Burns also was in great form on the wing, kicking two.
Other better players for Catani were Tom Coupe, Joe Camilleri, Dan Mantel and Duane Peacock.

The Blues travelled to Warragul and spectators saw an outstanding performance by Leigh Jose, who kicked a club record of 15 goals.
He was well backed up by Dustin Peebles and Daniel Kitchin, with another game highlight being an excellent game by Beau Mason who capped it off with a goal.
The middle of the ground was well controlled by the group of Bryce Cullen, Alex Campbell, Anderson Edwards, Phil Strahan and Daniel Kerrison.
The younger brigade in Michael Pendlebury, Brent Ryan and Blake Matthews were all good contributors.
Other good players included Jarrod Milner, Kaine Wedlock, Mark Cardomone, Michael Williams and Kane Matthews.

The team was forced to work hard for its goals, but as it turned out, always looked the better side.
