EXCELLENT bowling by Trevor Tilley and Kevin Stapleton helped Emerald Fgrade’s oneday team to a premiership win against Clyde at the weekend.
Tilly produced a memorable hattrick in his spell of 3/20, while Stapleton also enjoyed a good day in the field with 4/17 and two catches.
Playing at Nar Nar Goon, the Bombers bowled first, got off to a great start and then continued it on throughout the innings to bowl Clyde out for 57.
With the small target the Bombers lost an early wicket, but then Gary Santini and Tim Robinson batted well to take the score to 35.
Both batsmen were dismissed before the victory target, but then Trevor Tilly and Jim Burke steered the Bombers to victory.
Tilly was named man of the match.
