THE Rotary Club of Berwick has hooked a big fish for the opening of the Casey Farmer’s Market tomorrow (Thursday).
Garfield Barramundi farmer Brian Fox will be among the first stallholders at the new midweek market.
Mr Rankin said the City of Casey was fully behind the market, which would be held at the Max Pawsey Reserve, near Westfield Fountain Gate.
He said the market would be held on the first and third Thursday of each month.
“Products for sale will be produced by primary producers, with no retail goods allowed for sale,” Mr Rankin said.
“We will have farm fresh and organic seasonal fruit, vegetables, herbs and spices, breads, honey, wines, olives, cheeses, jams, condiments and preserves, plus rabbit and barramundi as well as free range lamb, beef, poultry, and eggs.”
The market will be open from 9am to 1pm.
