Charity day tees off

THE Rotary Club of Berwick will hold its 44th annual charity golf day at Montuna Golf Club on Thursday, 16 February.
Club golf committee chairman Geoff Double said business and individuals could support the event by competing on the day or by donating articles for prizes and fundraising competitions.
“Players will receive a gift bag on arrival and team sponsored players and afternoon individual entrants will receive a clubhouse meal at the end of the round,” he said.
“Snacks and drinks will be available.
“Shotgun starts will be at 8am and 1pm.
“Major events will be a 18 hole men’s stableford A and B grade, 18 hole ladies’ stableford A and B during the morning, 18 hole nonhandicap event, team trophy for Rotary teams, team trophy for business teams, team trophy for social teams, and fox hole for the best aggregate score on the 13th hole.
Other competitions will be nearest to pins, longest drive, eagles nest and a holeinone trophy.
