STUDENTS and staff at Beaconhills College campus, Berwick, wore jeans to school on Friday, 4 August to raise money for the Children’s Medical Research Institute’s fundraiser Jeans for Genes Day.
The research is aimed at finding cures for diseases in children. With donations made for the privilege of wearing jeans to school, and a lunchtime sausage sizzle, the campus raised almost $1200.
Head of campus Jenny Williams said she was delighted with the combined fundraising effort of the students and staff.
