CLOWNS were sent in to dispense doses of fun and laughter to elderly residents in Pakenham last week.
Doctor Tickle and his zany chums from The Humour Foundation dropped in on the Ron Andrews Nursing Home and quickly made friends with residents.
Operation Humour was declared a great success.
The clown doctors are well known for their work in hospitals, particularly with children but also the elderly.
‘Laughter is the best medicine,’ is their motto.
Diversional therapist Debbie Waldren said they were a great hit with the residents.
“They went from room to room, visiting each resident and were a lot of fun. They were wonderful,” she said.
