MERINDA Park’s Agrade team is set to strike this week after posting a reasonable score of 176 against Clyde on Saturday.
Peter Jessop was the Cobras’ batting mainstay, scoring his maiden halfcentury at A grade level, with 33 from Brett Whittingham and scores in the 20s from captain Gary Davidson and all rounder Rick Dennerley.
The Cobras made a vital breakthrough in the final four overs of play, when Lucas Hoogenboom dismissed the dangerous Steve Madin for a duck.
The game evenly poised with Clyde on 1/8.

The Cobras had the chance to bowl Beaconsfield out for fewer than 100 when the visitors were 9/71 late in the afternoon.
A final wicket partnership of 43 saw Beaconsfield post a reasonable score of 114.
The main destroyers were Steve Tobin with 5/38 and offspinner Shannon Mathers with 4/36.
The Cobras were in a good position at stumps with the score at 0/7.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:C GRADE

The Cobras posted a good score against Cardinia, thanks to a halfcentury from John Cuthbertson with 59.
He shared an 84run partnership with junior Dustin Peebles who made 48. Ron Hughes also played well to help the lower order push the score past 200.
Nic Reed and Grant Pearson helped get the score to 244 when the Cobras were dismissed.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:D GRADE

The Cobras did well to score 8/173 from their 70 overs on a slow Lyndhurst Secondary College ground against Nar Nar Goon.
Playing against former Cobra coach Col Hodson, who snared three wickets, the Cobras posted a reasonable score thanks to 45 from Darren Smith.

The Cobras are in a good position against Tooradin, after bowling the visitors out for 84.
At stumps, the Cobras were 2/36.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:F GRADE

The Cobras posted another 200plus score against Upper Beaconsfield with Jeff Gillespie scoring his second 50 (retired) in a row to gain an easy win over the host team.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 16

Nathan Beaver picked up three wickets in the second innings to have the excellent match figures of 10/25 in the Cobras win over Nyora that almost turned into an outright victory.
