IN her fourth week of the Star Makeover competition, Colleen Tancredi has settled into her regime of exercise, healthy eating and pampering, despite being worked to the bone in the gym and enduring the odd junk food craving.
Colleen said the weight loss had still not really shown on the scales and she had started to get disheartened.
But her recent measurements showed she has lost seven centimetres off her waist.
“I feel fitter. I feel better in myself and in my clothes,” she said.
Colleen said she was now eating a lot healthier, but there was still the odd temptation here and there.
She said nutritionist Amanda Dean always checked Colleen’s diary, which includes everything she eats and drinks and all the exercise she does.
“I’m really honest when I fill it out – a bit too honest,” Colleen said.
She said last week when it was pelting down with rain she had a shocking day.
After picking her kids up from school, Colleen bought them some hot chips.
“I had a handful of chips. I couldn’t help it, it was so cold,” she said.
“But that night I had two yoghurts for dinner as compensation.
“I know when I’m doing something wrong.”
Colleen said she also had a handful of mini M and Ms that week.
“That was two bad things in the one week,” she said.
“Amanda said from now on every time I eat something bad I have to do 10 pushups.”
Colleen said the exercise and nutrition was compensated by pampering from the Remedial Dermal Clinic and Spa in Berwick.
Each week she is being treated to a massage, facial, or even intense pulsed light (IPL) photorejuvenation to improve the skin on her face.
“It’s like winning Tattslotto.
“It is the ultimate,” she said.
“And the massage is great when I’m training.”
