President Paddy McKenna said a lot of work had been done behind the scenes by the dedicated committee, with all positions filled.
“The club held a number of training sessions before Christmas, with coach Justin Pearson pleased with the numbers and the enthusiasm,” he said.
McKenna said training officially started on Monday, 5 February, 6pm at the Beaconsfield Campus of St Francis Xavier and would continue each Monday and Wednesday over the next two months.

“The club will welcome any players interested in playing amateur football, as well as anyone who would like to take an active part in the development of the club,” he said.
“Past students, parents and staff of the college will be especially welcome both male and female.”
McKenna said the club was set to undergo a major sponsorship drive, focussing on businesses and families that have had some past involvement with the college.
