A COURSE record 64 off the stick by professional Daniel Hyndman was one of the highlights of the Drouin Golf and Country Club’s third annual proam held on Tuesday last week.
More than 70 professionals from all over Australia took to the course, paired with local sponsors and members.
The Drouin and District Community Bank (Bendigo) continued its major support of the event and the day was described as a huge success.
High praise was given to the Drouin course by many of the professionals who vowed to return for next year’s event.
Daniel Hyndman from Mornington set his course record on the centenary course.
Standing approximately 6ft 4in tall, Daniel combined regular 300metre drives with superb touch around the greens to take the title.
Brad Burns and David Walker were tied in the runnersup position both scoring 66.
Local hopes Jason Dawes and Ryan Hammond tied for 10th place, both shooting 69 and 27 of the 73 professionals broke par on a day where conditions were ideal for good scoring.
