ON Sunday at the Association Netball Championships held at Traralgon Latrobe Valley Netballers with a Disability were invited to put on a display between games.
A Traralgon team, Gippsland’s second, has formed this year and played the Drouin team, which has been together for 18 months.
The two teams took the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of hundreds of netballers.
The Traralgon team trains on Mondays 4.305.30 at the Traralgon courts (contact Sharon Rodgers, phone 5176 0449) and the Drouin team trains on Fridays 5.306.30 at the Bellbird Park Sports Complex in Drouin (contact Janet Parker, phone 5625 3371).
Both teams are seeking new members.
The teams will meet at Traralgon in July for a joint day with footballers with a disability.
The netballers with a disability will field two teams that will play at the State Netball and Hockey Centre in October in the prestigious state titles.
