ST MARGERET’S School fete in Gloucester Avenue, Berwick, on Saturday morning was a hive of activity.
Rain threatened as the fete opened, but held off and people came in droves.
A school spokesperson said the fete was bigger every year.
The giant slide, the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere, was a massive drawcard and provided children with lots of fun.
Other rides, blowup castles, rock climbing, and Thomas the Tank kept children busy all day.
Parents were able to buy daily tickets for their children for unlimited rides throughout the day.
St Margaret’s principal Helen McDonald expressed the school’s gratitude for the support.
Dr McDonald said thanks were due to St Margaret’s Parents and Friends Group volunteers, who worked hard to make the fete a success, and also to the patrons who attended.
