The 70 finalround win saw them move ahead of BerwickMontuna and win the division.
After the win they returned to the club and celebrated their win with the women from division one, along with caddies and supporters.
PAIR IN STATE FINAL
The ladies also starred in the Doris Chambers Foursomes Stableford event played on the Lakes course on Wednesday last week.
From the field of 20 pairs, Ann Felgate and Mary Griffin won the Women’s Golf Victoria event with a combined handicap of 21, scoring 35 points.
Ann and Mary will now represent Beaconhills at the state final to be played at Spring Valley later this year.
Nearestthepin winners were, Nicki Charman on the third, Ann Felgate on the 11th and Heather Hamilton on the 16th.
‘GRUDGE MATCH’ FOR SHIELD
Beaconhills hosted the annual Hillsea Shield against Portsea Golf Club on Saturday.
A team of 12 players from Beaconhills and Portsea compete for the annual shield decided on the total Stableford points scored by each team at both courses.
After the round at Beaconhills, the host club has an eightpoint lead scoring 376 to Portsea’s 368.
From Beaconhills the best score was from Dominic Pantano who scored 37 points and from Portsea it was John Nolan who had 39 points.
The final round of the annual grudge match will be played on 22 July at Portsea.
SATURDAY RESULTS
A Stableford competition was played on both courses.
On the Old course, pennant player Matthew Buff was the winner with 37 points.
On the Lakes course Lou Skantsoz was the Agrade winner with 44 points.
In B grade, Michael Buck won on a countback with 39 points and in C grade, Wayne Johnson was the winner, also scoring 39 points.
In the junior competition, Danielle Lawrence was the winner scoring nett 34.
SUNDAY RESULTS
On Mother’s Day, 57 players entered the Stableford competition on the Lakes course.
The winner was Travis O’Neil with 37 points who won on a countback from Neil Andrews who was the runnerup on a countback as well.
THURSDAY RESULTS
This was a Stableford competition on the Lakes that saw Barry Mollison win A grade with a score of 42 and Craig Carter from BerwickMontuna win B grade with a score of 38 points.
TUESDAY RESULTS
Stableford was played on the Lakes course that saw Neil Loveless return the best score of the day, 40 points, to win the competition.
