FOUR people were taken to hospital after a twocar collision in Pakenham on Friday night.
Rescue crews were called just before midnight on 7 April to the intersection of McGregor Road, The Avenue, and Princes Highway.
Police, CFA and Pakenham Road Rescue Unit crews attended the collision.
The incident at one of the town’s most accidentprone intersections is under investigation by police.
One of the cars was travelling east along the Princes Highway when the collision occurred.
Police said both vehicles were extensively damaged in the crash.
Two of the occupants were taken to the Alfred Hospital.
The incident comes as police urge motorists to take extra care on the roads, particularly this weekend with the Easter break.
Senior Constable Brad Cummins of the Cardinia Traffic Management Unit said police would be out in force throughout the area over the long weekend.
Drink driving, unregistered or unroadworthy vehicles and speeding were just some of the poor behaviour that would come in for special attention from police, Sen Const Cummins said.
