THE Casey National Youth Week Committee’s April Youth Full Fest will be a highlight of this year’s national youth week in the City of Casey.
The festival will open on Saturday 1 April and will include a short film festival.
Casey manager of youth and community development Janette Green said young people would be able to learn how to develop skills in activities such as art or film making, sharing their ideas and meeting people.
Ms Green said National Youth Week was about celebrating the achievements of young people.
She said the committee was working hard to make the April Youth Full Fest a standout event.
“Young people who are keen to get involved or join the committee as well as businesses that would like to support National Youth Week activities in Casey are encouraged to contact the youth services team on 9705 5200,” she said.
Activities in the festival will include art workshops, with professionals teaching young people different forms of art such as cartooning, mosaic and painting, a short film festival and screening of films made by young people.
