AN OPEN garden display should be a blooming beauty.
A host of the best gardens in the district will go on show as a fundraiser for the Red Cross.
The open garden weekend on 19 and 20 November will see five gardens open to the public between 10am and 4pm this Saturday and Sunday.
Meryl Waterhouse has been busy putting the final touches on her beautiful garden in Pakenham Road.
Also going on show are the gardens of Rae and Ran Webster in James Street, Pakenham, Dorothy and Ian Thomas in Mulcahy Road, Pakenham, Jenny and Michael Fiume in Guys Hill and Sue and George Blenkhorn in Bessie Creek Road, Nar Nar Goon North.
Mrs Waterhouse said she hoped many residents would take advantage of the chance to see some of the area’s finest gardens from close range.
“We hope to raise lots of money for Red Cross. It is a very worthy cause,” she said.
Refreshments will be available at the gardens.
There will also be plant sales, garden art sales and a raffle of a wheelbarrow full of garden products.
All proceeds go to the Australian Red Cross.
