NAR Nar Goon made a clean sweep of round seven EDFL matches against Warragul Industrials on Saturday and the senior side stayed in finals contention with its third straight win.
The Goon had a slow start but got its running game going to have the match effectively wrapped up by halftime, leading 11.11 to 2.1.
Andy Oldmeadow was dominating on his wing and other young players in Spencer Noonan, Paul Hicks and Matt Wade were also doing well. Flying the flag for the older brigade were Blair Lidstone, Michael Epstein and Dave Hoy.
The Dusties came back in the second half but the damage had been done and Nar Nar Goon went on to win comfortably.

Young ruckman Travis Simpkin took the advice on board and was best on ground. Regular ruckman Vince Sanzaro was rested at fullforward and finished with a bag of 8.4.

In the third quarter Nar Nar Goon took control and finished well, Will Evans providing a steadying influence and Matt Damon’s runthrough approach being a highlight.

Joey Murphy showed great vision and his creative play brought teammates into the game. Wil Evans, Damon Hansen, Anthony Neilson and Tom Cunningham used their height and experience well, also helping the younger players out.
