A BRILLIANT 46 Stableford points on the Lakes course easily gave Graeme Martin the Bgrade win at Beaconhills Country Golf Course on Saturday.
It was a day when some of the best scores in weeks were returned which was surprising when players could not even see many the greens for their approach shots, due to heavy fog.
Graham who was off a handicap of 13, played to three with 24 points on the front nine that was square with the card and 22 points on the back nine.
His golf has improved dramatically over the past nine months.
In October last year he was playing off 18 and with Saturday’s score he is now on his lowestever handicap of 11.
In A grade, Steven Miranda was the winner with 41 points and in C grade Martin Balsarini was the clear winner with a score of 44 points.
On the Old course, 27 players competed and junior member Matt Sammells was the winner with 41 points on a handicap of 25.
In the junior ninehole competition, Noah Kolmus was the winner with nett 35.

THURSDAY RESULTS

This was a Stableford competition on the Lakes course and Trevor Ball was the winner of A grade with a score of 40 points.
The Bgrade winner was Ross Millard who scored 28 points.

TUESDAY RESULTS

Club professional Mark Griffin pipped Brendan Drew on a countback with 38 points on the Lakes course.
