IT was a top day for June Biddle and her guest Bev Hewitt who won the fourballbestball competition with 46 points at Beaconhills Country Golf Club on Wednesday, 26 April.
The ladies guest day was on the Lakes course, with 32 members and guests teeing off.
Nearestthepin winners on the third were Lida Patak from Beaconhills and Moira Ferguson from Sandhurst and on the 18th, Marg Mitchem from Beaconhills/Drouin and Janet Tyler from Cheltenham.

MEN’S MONTHLY MEDAL

It was a monthly medal for the men and ladies last week.
For the men it was played on the Old course with 148 players.
Ivan Furyk (the distant cousin of Jim) was the Agrade winner with nett 66.
B grade and the monthly medal were won by Emil Ackaoui with nett 64 and in C grade, Arthur Bailey was the winner, scoring nett 69.
The best gross for the day was won on a countback by Ryan Fuller with four over the card.
In the playoff for the April monthly medal, Colin Dell returned the best score of nett 75.
In the junior competition tenyearold Matthew Willemsen was the winner scoring nett 35. On the alternate competition on the Lakes course, Roy Lyness was the winner, scoring nett 64.

LADIES’ MONTHLY MEDAL

The monthly medal and putting was played on the Old course on Wednesday, 3 May and was won by Gloria Angwin who scored nett 67.
The putting was won by Barbara Jackson on a countback with 27.
Nearestthepin winners were Diane Bartels on the sixth and Marilyn Ford on the 15th.
In the propin competition there was no Agrade winner, however in B grade, Lorraine Baxter collected the prize.

TUESDAY RESULTS

There were 50 players in the Stroke event on the Old course on Tuesday that saw Chris Gamble win the day with nett 64 and Alex McKay runnerup on a countback with nett 68.

THURSDAY RESULTS

In a Stableford competition, Neil Loveless won B grade with 40 points and Graeme Taylor on a countback with 39 points.
