THESE school holidays enjoy wildlife close up at Bimbimbie Wildlife Park.
Bimbimbie is located just out of Emerald and only a 15minute drive from Pakenham.
A hidden sanctuary set in beautiful surroundings offering the perfect destination for a family day out, the park is home to a wonderful array of native animals such as kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, wombats and dingoes, plus reptiles and many birds.
It also houses friendly farm animals just waiting for a pat and a cuddle. Visitors can wander through some of the enclosures and handfeed the kangaroos, wallabies and deer.
The park allows for a lot of interaction and visitors can even get close to lizards and snakes at the reptile show at 2pm during the school holidays.
Other added attractions during the holidays include ceramic painting, interactive puppet shows and pony rides, depending on the weather.
Families can either bring their own lunch and enjoy the seven acres of picnic area with wood barbecues, or taste some of the family treats in the tearooms.
Bimbimbie is once again running its popular Ranger for the Day program these school holidays.
The children get to stay at the park for the day and participate in various activities to do with the care of wildlife.
