HOLIDAY boredom doesn’t need to strike with a range of activities being offered as part of the Cardinia Shire Youth Services Holiday program.
Young people aged 11 to 16 years can choose from a series of activities, including skateboarding clinics, BMX workshops and excursions to places like Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre and Sidetracked Entertainment Centre in South Oakleigh during the April school holidays.
Qualified youth workers will supervise all activities.
Participants can sign up for freestyle BMX workshops or a skateboarding clinic on Monday 2 April at Pakenham Skate Park, Tuesday 3 April at Gembrook Skate Park and Thursday 5 April at Garfield Skate Park. The clinics are only $5 per person.
A jampacked day of aquatic activities is planned at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre on Tuesday, 10 April. Transport and entry to the centre is $6, which includes access to the wave pool, diving boards, pool inflatables and slides.
On 12 April there will be a visit to Sidetracked Entertainment Centre in South Oakleigh for gokarting, laserforce, tenpin bowling and minigolf. The day costs $27.
On Friday 13 April, kids can enjoy a scenic horse ride scheduled at Ace Hi Ranch.
