The evening will be compered by Sean McMahon and feature soloists Angelie O’Brien, Aaron Pratt and Hayley Ballis.
Also performing will be the Cardinia Concert Band, Pakenham Carols Choir and the Cardinia Performing Arts Company.
Children from local churches will present the nativity story and Santa has promised to drop by for a special visit.
“Our community can be justifiably proud of its determination to celebrate Christmas together,” Reverend Roath said.
“Every aspect of this much loved event has been supported, organised and preformed by local people.
“The evening could not possibly be held without the many volunteers who continually give up their time and energy to ensure the well being of the community.
“Organisers would like to thank the SES, CFA, St Johns Ambulance, Rotary, the police and the Churches of Pakenham.”
Singers who would like to join the Pakenham Carols Choir are invited to ring Margaret Walden on 5941 1494.
Rehearsals take place at St James Anglican Church, 41 Pakenham Road each Friday at 7.30pm.
Carols by Candlelight is an alcohol-free event.
The program starts at 8.30pm.
