INNER Wheel and Rotary have contributed to an appeal for money to buy a hand held low level laser for breast cancer treatment.
Inner Wheel clubs from Pakenham, Berwick, Narre Warren, and the Rotary Club of Dandenong East donated $2500 to the Berwick Bosom Buddies towards the machine.
The light touch laser in conjunction with manual lymph massage will help manage scarring and lymphoedema often experienced by women after breast cancer surgery.
The laser will be available at St John of God Hospital in Berwick.
Berwick Bosom Buddies holds two meetings a month for women to share friendship, support, laughter and advice during a breast cancer experience. Further information is available from Jane or Kathy at the hospital on 9707 1900.
