AFTER an even first half Beaconsfield seniors were overrun by a rampaging Narre Warren on Saturday, going down by 60 points
The Eagles went into the match without ruckman Chris Kelf and the pace was fierce with both sides running hard and early goals to Robins had the crowd on their feet.
The lead constantly changed, but it was the Eagles who took a fivepoint buffer into the break after an entertaining first quarter.
The sides settled in the second quarter with both teams absorbing the pressure.
At the halftime siren, it was the Magpies who held sway by just two points.
The Eagles came out of the blocks early, posting a major to regain the lead early in the third term, but from then on the Narre Warren held sway, kicking eight unanswered goals to have a matchwinning lead at threequarter time.
The final quarter was a much more even affair, but Beaconsfield was less than accurate in front of goal, managing only one from eight scoring shots.
Dean Van Lambaart rucked tirelessly all day and Daniel Clarke was good, having been given the unenviable task of standing Aussie Jones.
Scores: Beaconsfield 10.13.73 lost to Narre Warren 20.13.133.
Goals Beaconsfield: Haydn Robins 4, Daniel Mislicki 2, Steven Munday, Daniel Charles, Daniel Clarke, Kris Fletcher 1.
Best Beaconsfield: Craig Jackson, Dean Van Lambaart, Daniel Clarke, Rob Taylor, Daniel Charles.

RESERVES

In a spirited first half the Eagles played well, getting to the main break within nine points of Narre Warren.
Returning from injury Brett Hogan bolstered the backline and Mitch Burns was running into some form.
After halftime, however, Narre Warren gained control and, in a ninegoaltoone second half, pulled away for a comfortable victory.
Garreth Helliar was reliable as ever in defence and newcomer Andrew Stent continued to impress, along with Jason Cousins.
Scores: Beaconsfield 5.5.35 lost to Narre Warren 14.11.95.
Goals Beaconsfield: Andrew Stent 2, James Szwaja, Troy Aylen, Warren Sheean 1.
Best Beaconsfield: Andrew Stent, Mitch Burns, Garreth Helliar, Brendan Jarman, Brett Hogan, Jason Cousins.

UNDER 18

It was an entertaining game as the two top sides clashed.
There was very little in the game as the young Eagles moved to an 11point lead by threequarter time.
It looked like being a tight finish, but Narre Warren seemed to run out of steam as Beaconsfield rammed home eight unanswered goals to record a solid victory.
Scores: Beaconsfield 15.12.102 d Narre Warren 7.7.49.
Goals: Mitch Collins 5, Sean Alexander 3, Paul Van Lambaart 2, James Alexander, Sam Benbow, Jeff Jonas, Ryan Olsson, Jesse Linkins 1.
Best: Brenton Goldsack, John Noonan, Mitch Collins, Jesse Linkins, Sam Benbow, Denee Lalouette.

COLTS

Kicking the dew of the grass the Colts also played Narre Warren.
After a slow start that saw the Magpies with the early lead, the Eagles hit form and went on to a comprehensive victory.
Scores: Beaconsfield 14.16.100 d Narre Warren 4.5.29.
Goals: Rhys Barton 4, Cleyton Bertoncello 3, Dale Robertson 2, Scott Stanley, Shaun Klein, James Barnes, Josh Carell, Ryan Paligorov 1.
