FRESH was the word at the Cardinia Farmers’ Market in Pakenham on Saturday.
Fine weather and tasty treats on offer meant residents turned out in droves to the Pakenham Racecourse for the popular monthly event.
Cardinia corn growers John and Pam Hobson added baby corn to their delicious range and Trevor and Linda Sell were back with their blood plums from their orchard in Nar Nar Goon.
About 40 stallholders sold homebaked cookies, fresh mushrooms, olive oil, farmhouse cheeses, sour dough bread, local apple juice, organic pasta sauces and more.
