She was picked last Sunday during selections at the State Netball and Hockey Centre in Melbourne, where the squad was cut from 50 to 25 members.
This started at 9.30am and finished at 12.30pm, each member playing five to six 15-minute quarters, until the group of 25 was announced.
The final cut to a squad of 12 will be held in February and leading up to this the group has to maintain a rigorous training regime.
All members of Gippsland Storm and committee have wished Meg luck in her quest for State selection, sentiments shared by the Nar Nar Goon community where she has played netball for many years.
The National titles will be held in Penrith, New South Wales on 25 April next year.
