RESIDENTS spanning several generations are preparing to celebrate a golden milestone.
Upper Beaconsfield Kindergartens Association vicepresident Philippa Meyer said the kindergarten in McBride Road is half a century old and a big party was being planned.
“This year the kindergarten is celebrating its 50th year, with the building in McBride Road having been used for threeyearold kinder for the past continuous 50 years, and fouryearold kinder until about 1978. It is also used for playgroup where new parents can meet other new parents in the area,” she said.
Preparations are under way for a celebration in August.
Organisers said photos or memorabilia from the past 50 years would be most welcome.
