Nar Nar Goon nets victory

NAR Nar Goon Netball Club’s Agrade team started the season on a high note with a 10goal win against Ellinbank.

A GRADE

It was a new look team that stepped onto the court against a very competitive Ellinbank.
With scores almost even at half time, Nar Nar Goon managed to step up in the last half and come away with the win.

B GRADE

With all senior sides struggling for numbers this week, B grade did well and had a very competitive game in blustery conditions.
Score: NNG 19 lost to Ellinbank 25.

C GRADE

The team welcomed new players Rebecca Pimm, Rebecca Dore, Leara Keysers, Stacy Diston and Tracy O’Neill.
Bianca Bow continued from last year and played well at wing attack.
Ashlee Dore, Jenna Noonan and Sinead Scanlon capably filled in from the juniors.
Nar Nar Goon was defeated by Ellinbank, but showed many good passages of play.

UNDER 17

Nar Nar Goon got off to a good start defeating last season’s premiers in very wet conditions.
Stepping up this year was Sinead Scanlon, who slotted well into defence.
The midcourt worked hard creating many turnovers. Tarren Sailsbury, a new face at the club, fitted well into goals with Prue Evans.

UNDER 15

Nar Nar Goon had a positive start to the season with a convincing win over Ellinbank.
The team showed its versatility, adapting well to positional changes with Hayley Dore the stand out, rotating through defence and midcourt.

UNDER 13

After a shaky start, Nar Nar Goon settled into the play and took control of a tight match.
Plenty of encouragement from all players and promising passages of play allowed the team to overcome a muchimproved Ellinbank side.
Score: NNG 24 defeated Ellinbank 13.
