AN ILLUMINATED nativity scene in Claire Robinson Park, Narre Warren North has been vandalised for the second consecutive year.
Residents were shocked when the scene, built by the Narre Warren North Community Carols Committee on Saturday, 3 December was attacked during that night.
They would like anyone with more information to contact police.
They believe a late model yellow Commodore with a spoiler on the back was involved in the attack.
The car was seen at the location about 1am on Sunday, 4 December.
A witness said he saw people from the car take material from the nativity scene, but could not see the registration number.
Narre Warren North resident Bob Hill, who designed and helped build the nativity, said it would be rebuilt in time for a carols night on Saturday.
“We’ll just put it up again,” he said.
