Gippsland Storm under17 division one (back): Stacie Proctor, Jess Ayers, Hanna Moore, Toni Dart, Ashlea Lawry, coach Simon O’Shanassy, (front): Skye Huggett, Brianna Rotteveel, Nicole Mirams, and Danielle Milner.IT was a first for Gippsland Storm State League Netball Club when both its division one and two 17andunder squads played off in grand finals at Waverley Netball Centre last week.
Unfortunately both lost with the division one side going down to Boroondara 36 to 21, while the division two girls lost to the Peninsula side, 29 to 26.
However coaches Simon O’Shanassy and Jenny Burridge were thrilled saying it was all about development and looking to the future to develop quality senior players for the club.
Both coaches were very pleased with the progress in relation to improvement during the season and look forward to the spring season starting early July to continue the process.
