THE Casey Referral Network donated goods and services valued at $1700 to Kalimna Support Options during its Thursday, 4 May business breakfast at the Ambrosia Restaurant, Berwick.
Options Victoria is a notforprofit community organisation providing services to adults who have various disabilities, including intellectual, physical, sensory and psychiatric.
Options Victoria provides day support services, open employment, supported employment, community development and recreation support.
Kalimna Support Options, a service of Options Victoria, supports people to link with their community and achieve lifestyles of choice.
Flexible services are provided to people residing in the Cities of Casey, Greater Dandenong and Cardinia by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers.
Kalimna supports individuals to engage in a range of prevocational, educational, recreational and leisure pursuits.
The staff team and volunteers, including students, work alongside individuals and their support networks to achieve their dreams and aspirations, through connecting with community organisations and new opportunities.
Kalimna provides a Community Outreach Service (COS), which works alongside individuals who are not suited to the regular support service structure.
Kalimna COS works alongside individuals who are not yet suited to employment services and would benefit from a flexible partnership approach between COS and employment services.
Kalimna’s coordinator of volunteers provides indepth induction training and continued support for volunteers to become valued members of Kalimna’s team.
No experience is necessary, but applicants must be over the age of 18 and be willing to attend an interview and complete a police check.
