With two new playing diamonds located at the rear of Toomuc Reserve in Pakenham, club president Tim Armour said it was a good chance for locals to get involved with the growing sport.
“We play in the Dandenong Baseball Association winter competition and field two senior sides and a junior team,” he said.
Armour said a number of cricketers had taken up the exciting sport in their offseason.
“In this area we are competing against football, but have found there are a number of potential players out there,” he said.
With no experience required, new players could learn the basic skills of baseball from longtime players.
The club is holding a registration day on 25 March at Toomuc Reserve.
Inquiries can be directed to Michael Chilcott on 0409 054 757 or Armour on 0412 755 638.
