THE Casey Cardinia Relay For Life (CCRFL) will be held at Akoonah Park, Berwick, on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 March.
CCRFL has so far registered more than 200 people and 14 teams for the event.
A meeting held at Akoonah Park Berwick on Wednesday 8 February was told that RFL aimed to raise $3 million this year for cancer research.
It aimed by raising money for research to find a complete cure for the dreaded disease.
CCRFL chair manager Deborah Ditchburn said a wide range of activities would be at the twoday relay event, including food and bands.
“We will have belly dancers who will also give lessons, karaoke, and a limbo during the relay.
“We are also asking schools to create displays.”
One of the most moving images at the relay will be the candlelight display when candles are lit and placed just inside the running track.
A short candlelight service will be held to reflect on why everyone is involved in the relay.
Candles will be on sale.
Further information about entering teams or individual entries in the relay are available from Deborah on 0412 850 257 or the RFL hotline 1300 656 585.
